How does the ChickenStone work?

Our patented design takes advantage of the scientific principle of thermal conduction. The Stone sits inside the cavity of a whole chicken during roasting. Its ceramic body warms up quickly, becoming a heat source. Then it cooks the bird from the inside, while your oven cooks it from the outside infusing the meat with moisture and flavor.

Can I use the ChickenStone empty?

Yes! In fact, when it comes to cutting down cooking times these Stones are even more efficient when used empty.

Will the ChickenStone work on a grill?

Yes! If the whole chicken fits on/in your grill then the ChickenStone will work. It will work best if your gill has a lid that closes over the whole chicken.

The ChickenStone is more sanitary and safe than beer cans and will allow you to keep the bird horizontal throughout preparation and cooking for easier roasting.

How long will it take to cook my chicken with a ChickenStone?

Experts agree that cooking your chicken to the right temperature, and not relying solely on the clock, gives much better results.

Use an instant-read thermometer to check the internal temperature of the chicken (with the ChickenStone inside) throughout cooking. Important! Start checking early to avoid over-cooking, which is the #1 enemy of moist, flavorful meat.

The USDA advises that turkeys and chickens are done when the internal temperature reaches 165°F / 74°C. Pro tip: Avoid overcooking by keeping in mind that a chicken’s internal temperature will continue rising some even after it is removed from the oven.

What is the ChickenStone made of?

The ChickenStone is made of high-quality porcelain ceramic. These pieces are made using a slip-casting technique then fired at temperatures over 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit (1,200 degrees Celsius). So the final pieces are strong, lightweight, and resist chipping

The lid has an oven-safe silicone ring to ensure a snug fit.

Is the ChickenStone dishwasher safe?

Yes! All components are food-safe, dishwasher safe and easy to clean by hand.

What colors are available?

The ChickenStone currently comes in 3 colors: chili red, lemon yellow, and spring green.

We'd love to hear from you at if you have color suggestions for the future.
